Gold Open Access
Many of our journals offer Gold open access publishing options. Authors can choose to publish their articles as open access by paying an Article Processing Charge (APC). This allows immediate, unrestricted access to the final published version under a Creative Commons license.
Hybrid Journals
Our hybrid journals offer authors the choice between traditional subscription publishing and open access. Authors retain copyright and can select from Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) or CC BY-NC licenses.
Open Access Books
We also publish open access books. Authors can indicate their intention to publish as open access in the book proposal form. Open access books are available as DRM-free PDF downloads and are published under Creative Commons licenses.
APC Waivers & Discounts
We offer discounted APCs for corresponding authors from developing countries and have reached open access agreements with several institutions. Please contact our editorial team for more information about available waivers and discounts.
Compliance
Our open access journals are compliant with major mandates including Plan S and UKRI Open Access Policy. Authors can ensure their research meets funder requirements while maximizing visibility and impact.
Retain Copyright
Authors retain copyright to their work and choose their preferred Creative Commons license.
